Two Days in Paris

Collection of photos from our two main days in Paris.  First day was the Jardin du Luxembourg for the morning and a picnic.  After that we walked over to the Pantheon, and then tried to get into the Notre Dame, however the line up was enormous.  Caught a carriage/scooter/trike thing home.

Next day we got up and head over to the Catacombs to get into the line up early.  Still had to wait in the line for about an hour and a half but once we got it it was worth it, very unique experience that even the boys didn't get bored with.  Popped out of the Catacombs and jumped on a hop on/hop off bus of Paris which took us over to Les Invalides, lots of art, arms and armour there, and of course Napoleon's Tomb.  After that we jumped back onto the tour bus for a big loop of Paris.  Drove up along the Champs-Elysees and saw the Arc de Triumphe.  Audio tour provided as part of the bus tour wasn't bad either.  In the afternoon we stopped at a Pizza place for dinner before heading up the Montparnasse Tower for sunset. Excellent views of the city from up there.

All in all I did like Paris, beautiful city absolutely filled to the brim with history and culture.  Only downsides for me was the fact that everyone still smokes here and people all seem to have dogs that they don't clean up after.  Oh and the public toilets are a NO GO :P
